This arrangement of the much-loved Evening Prayer from the opera by Engelbert Humperdinck for horn octet was first premiered by the horn quartets from the Metropolitan Opera and the Berlin Philharmonic. At the height of Covid in 2020 a recording was made to promote an online concert supporting the musicians of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
This arrangement features a choice between a slow ending reminiscent of the overture, or livelier conclusion that mirrors the finale of the opera.

This arrangement of the Rondo from Mozart’s Concerto Nr. 4 for brass quintet is an expansion of a trio version (de 0003) written originally for David Evans; principal horn of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO). It was utilized as a horn feature as part of an education tour undertaken by WASO in 2015.
More recently it was recorded in its trio format by Sarah Willis (horn), Tamás Velenczei (trumpet) and Jesper Busk Sørensen (euphonium) of the Berlin Philharmonic. The recording can be found on YouTube.
