About
The Sonata da Chiesa ("church sonata") came into widespread usage in the 17th century as an alternative to solo organ music for mixed ensembles during liturgical services. Its 4 movements following alternate slow-fast-slow-fast pattern. The Italian Archangelo Corelli composed two sets of 12 Sonatas in his Op. 1 (1681) and Op. 3 (1689) collections.
This arrangement of the Trio Sonata Op.3 Nr.7 for brass trio was originally arranged for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra Brass in 2015. The 4 movements are an ideal introduction to baroque harmony and style for both education settings and for concert audiences alike.
More recently it was recorded by Sarah Willis (horn), Tamás Velenczei (trumpet) and Jesper Busk Sørensen (trombone) of the Berlin Philharmonic. The recording can be found on YouTube.

This arrangement of the Rondo from Mozart’s Concerto Nr. 4 for brass quintet is an expansion of a trio version (de 0003) written originally for David Evans; principal horn of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO). It was utilized as a horn feature as part of an education tour undertaken by WASO in 2015.
More recently it was recorded in its trio format by Sarah Willis (horn), Tamás Velenczei (trumpet) and Jesper Busk Sørensen (euphonium) of the Berlin Philharmonic. The recording can be found on YouTube.
